Wales top Group C
The Welsh team of Mark Stoneman and Andrew Rogers (Pictured) topped group C last night on 18 points despite a 3-2 loss to Alex Borg and Duncan Bezzina of Malta.
Stoneman took the first frame but there was an 86 out of Borg in the second and the Maltesse duo took the next two frames to go 3-1 ahead. Stoneman then took the all important last frame to secure the top spot for Wales from Malta who finsihed second on 16pts.
Germany and Bulgaria also played last night and it was Bulgaria who produced a great 4-1 win to draw level with the German’s on 13pts and will now finish 3rd due to the head to head result with Germany 4th.
In the other match in the group Israel 3 defeated Romania 7 4-1 to finish on 11pts.
