Vasiljeva eliminated after barely missing a ton
Tatjana Vasiljeva is out of the Women individual event at the 2023 European Championships in Albena (Bulgaria). In an all-Latvian affair, the 2012 champion lost 4:1 to compatriot Anna Prysazhnuka.
Vasiljeva started with a bang, making a 90 break before missing the yellow off the spot. But after that there were no more fireworks but slow tactical frames all won by Prysazhnuka.
In the semis her opponent will be the top seed Izabela Lacka (Poland) or Anja Vandenbussche (Belgium) who after seven hours are still playing.
