U21 European Snooker Championships final on the run
EBSA Chairman Maxime Cassis gave the kick-off of the U21 European Snooker Championships Final that is already being played at Albufeira’s venue with Irishman Aaron Hill facing Hayden Staniland from England.
The 18 years old Irishman, U18 European Champion in 2019 and 2020, is on a remarkable run at Albufeira’s event, with 16 wins win a row between the two events, while Sherwood Forest Staniland, aged 19, plays his once in a lifetime match, even more for a competitor without sponsorships or even a coach.
Albufeira will be crowning his second 2020 European champion or perhaps the same from U18 event, Aaron Hill, at the end of the best of 9 frames is over and the Peter Ebdon Trophy has a now owner after Welshman Jackson Page as lifted the cup in 2019. Poland’s Sara Kwiecinska referees the most prestigious U21 European Championships match.
The champion gets a nomination from EBSA to WPBSA to play in the main tour for the next two seasons with the pros. In the meantime, the 6 Reds European Championships round-robin stage matches are on their way on the other 15 tables at the venue.
