Sutton holds off Stefanow
Ireland’s John Sutton beat Adam Stefanow from Poland 4-3 but only after watching his early 3-0 lead pegged back to 3-3 by the young polish player before taking the final frame 79-49 to secure top spot in the group.
Adam now finishes the group in third place after Antonis Poullos beat Francisco Rodriguez 4-0 to take second place with Mats Eriksson taking the last qualifying spot.
The only other two Men’s section matches played in this 1pm session saw Tom Zimmermann defeat Simon Dragunas 4-1 to take his first win of the event while Bernhard Bernhadsson and Jaroslaw Kowalski are still in play at time of writing with Jaroslaw currently winning 3-2 to decide who finishes 3rd and 4th.
