Lam leads the high break board
Sanderson Lam leads the high break board at present after a superb 92 break in his first match of the week. Sanderson beat Romania’s Theodor Teaca 3-0 in the second session of the day in a group that also boasts Welshman Ed Topham.
Ed also posted up his first win after he saw off France’s young 11 year old Nicolas Mortreux who put up a very good show in the first two frames.
We also saw a good opening show from another pre tournament favorite Ryhs Clark who beat Vladislav Kalinovski 3-1 knocking in breaks of 68 and 87 along the way.
We also had wins for the polish lads in ex-champion Kacper Filipak and Adam Stefanow, Ireland’s Stephen Bateman, Croatia’s Filip Bermanec, Germany’s Sascha Breuer, N.Ireland’s Declan Brennan among others.
