Florian gets last quarterfinal ticket
Austria’s Florian Nüssle granted the last available spot on the best of 7 Frames Men’s event quarterfinals by claiming victory facing Israel’s Eden Sharav in the decider of their Last 16 round clash..
Aged 20, the Austrian star, already a runner-up at the U21 event of this 2022 EBSA European Snooker Championships at Shengjin’s Delfin Resort [here pictured on top, copyright Alexander Trinkl], is already playing again: faces Poland’s Antoni Kowalski in their best of 7 Frames quarterfinal match also this Thursday afternoon in Albania.
All the Men’s event quarterfinals are live now. The Belgium Ben Mertens, U21 champion in this year’s championships, is facing England’s Josh Tomond, Ukraine’s Anton Kazakov is battling with Germany’s Umut Dikme and Estonian Andres Petrov as a clash with his old rival Ukraine’s Iulian Boiko.
The semifinals of the Men’s event will be played Friday morning also best of 7 Frames and the final of the main tournament of this 2022 EBSA European Snooker Champonships will be played in the same day best of 9 Frames starting not before 4 p.m.
At the end of this Thursday only 4 competitors will survive in the competition to find England’s Oliver Brown successor as Snooker European Champion.
The three Teams Event’s of the 2022 EBSA European Snooker Championships – Men, Women and Seniors – are now live this Thursday at Shengjin’s Delfin Resort.
35 teams (70 players) apply for the cup at the Men’s event, 22 competitors (44 players) for the Seniors tournament win and 7 teams (14 players) do their best in the Women’s competition at the venue’s 19 tables in Albania.
Simultaneously, Last 32 round of matches at the Men’s event is coming to an end, still with some best of the best of 7 Frames matches to be over. The Last 16 round is scheduled for this Thursday June 16th as well at the 2. p.m. session and the quarterfinals will also be played this day at 6 p.m.
