Final preparations underway in Sofia
Final preparations are taking place here in the Ramada Sofia Hotel for the start of the 2014 European Snooker Championships which get underway in the morning.
The tournament team, hotel staff and table fitters are just going over the final details for what should be a superb tournament here in Bulgaria.
The opening ceremony will kick off at 10am in the morning where the Bulgarian Snooker Federation and the EBSA will welcome the Bulgarian Minister for Sport to officially open the event and after a couple of quick player and referee meetings play will get underway at 1pm.
The match schedule should be released on the site late tonight or early tomorrow morning and once again Dariusz Goral’s superb live scoring system will keep us up to date on the action, ball by ball. We also hope to have a minimum of two of the tables available on live streaming for the duration of the event.
So check back here on the web site or on our facebook page for up to date photo’s and results from the event for the next 11 days. All the main contenders are here yet again as the likes of Darren Morgan and Wendy Jans aim to retain their Masters and Ladies titles while with Robin Hull plying his trade on the main tour we will also crown a new men’s champion.
