England dreaming with two in the Men/Mixed event final
Russia’s Ivan Kakovskii will face England’s Sean O’Sullivan while his fellow countryman Oliver Brown will play Welshman Darren Morgan Tuesday morning in Albufeira at Men/Mixed 2021 European Snooker Championships semifinals.
In the last quarterfinal to end this Monday evening at Albufeira’s VidaMar Resort Hotel Algarve, Oliver Brown beat 2020 runner-up Heikki Niva from Finland by 4 frames to 1 and kept very much alive the dream of an English clash at the final, to be played Tuesday at 5 p.m. best of 9 frames.
The race to succeed Welshman Andrew Pagett’s as European king is three matches from the end, with both semifinals to be played before – Tuesday morning – at Table 1 of the 16 settled at Salgados for this 2021 EBSA European Snooker Championships. Hungarian Gergo Almasi, assisted by fellow countrywoman Veronika Kovacs, will referee the Final.
