Century break for Vasiljeva
Ex-European Champion Tatjana Vasiljeva knocked in a superb 100 break here this morning in her match against France’s Christelle Pedat. Pedat however fought here way back into the match and ended up taking the match 3-1, her first win of the groups.
Also in Group D Jana Mitova from Bulgaria won against Kirstin Coun from Belgium this morning 3-2 on the black ball after an epic match that lasted nearly four hours.
The win was Jana’s first of the group stages and put her back in with a chance of one of the qualifying spots come the knockout stages.
In Group A defending Ladies Champion Wendy Jans didn’t waste time this morning either as she had a comfortable 3-0 win over Germany’s Stefanie Teschner. Wendy knocked in breaks of 45 and 51 to collect her fourth win of the group stages.
In the final match in the Ladies this morning Vicky Carter had a hard fought 3-2 victory over Romania’s Monica Manolache. Vicky now has three wins out of four matches and a great chance of one of the top spots in the group.
