University Snooker
The European University Sports Association (EUSA) met virtually with the European Billiards and Snooker Association (EBSA) on Thursday, March 11, as both organisations discussed potential future collaboration.
Present in the meeting on behalf of EUSA was Sports Manager Mr Besim Aliti and Sports Assistant Mr Liam Smith, and President Mr Maxime Cassis on behalf of EBSA.
Following short introductions, representatives were given the opportunity to present their organisations and their activities.
The topic of university Snooker in Europe was then discussed, with both EUSA and EBSA sharing information and insight on the topic. Both organisations will work together on the possibility of future Snooker competitions for the European university sports community.
EUSA will look towards their member national university sport associations – to figure out which countries already have snooker competitions at the university level
EBSA will contact their member national snooker associations – to see how many of their snooker players are also students, and to see if there would be interest to compete on the European university level
