Jans through to the Ladies’ final
The first Ladies’ semifinal has gone the way of Belgium’s Wendy Jans as she proceeds onwards to contest Daria Sirotina of Russia for her eight European Ladies Championship title.
The match against Nechaeva started with a 33 break by Jans, only to have the frame stolen on the colours. The Belgian then equalised the score by piling in a break of 44. The third frame saw a repeat of the first one as a 30 break failed to secure the frame. From then on, however, it was one-way trip for Jans, as she won the next three consecutive frames.
