Heaney Leads the way in the Senior Championship

Northern Irelands Anthony Heaney leads the way in the Senior Championship.

Heaney is the first player into the last 16 following a 4-1 victory over Portugal’s Henrique Correia.

Winners from the Last 48 include, Peter Bullen, James Darcy, Joris Maas, Jukka Haapakoski, Mark Tuite, Ed Geels, Jaroslaw Kowalski, Frans Mintoff, Gary Milne, Declan Lavery, Phill Williams, Craig Barber, Hans Nirnberger.

The remaining Last 32 Matches will be played today and there are some very interesting match up’s.

The Number One see Philip Ciantar from Malta plays Peter Bullen from Belgium. Number Two seed Lee Stephens from England takes on Austria’s Hans Nirnberger. It’s England versus the Republic of Ireland as Wayne Brown plays James Darcy and Jori Maas from the Netherlands takes on Sean Gray from Northern Ireland.

Other games include and all Finnish affair between Jani Kananen and Jukka Haapakoski. Two well known European players from the Republic of Ireland Mark Tuite and Brendan O’Donoghue will meet in the Last 32. It will be the Netherlands versus Northern Ireland as Ed Geels takes on Paul Lindsay.

Number Four seed Gregory Cooke from Northern Ireland will face Poland’s Jaroslaw Kowalski. Number Three seed Craig Steadman from England takes on Frans Mintoff from Malta.

Allan Morgan from Wales plays England’s Stuart Watson, Latvia’s Maris Volajs is up against Gary Milne from England. It’s Northern Ireland versus the Rep of Ireland as Declan Lavery versus Tommy O’Donoghue.

Gary Thomson of Scotland plays Phillip Williams of Wales, Scotland’s Craig Barber is up against Pascal Tollenaere from Belgium and finally Ryan McQuillan from Northern Ireland is up against the Multi-winning European champion Darren Morgan from Wales.
