Sarajevo Day Four, Knockout Snooker
The European Championship knockout stages begin this morning and after the Group battles the whole dynamic of the tournament changes. Three days of intensive snooker to qualify for the knockout stages has passed and players who were playing one match a day in the Group stages will now have to play more matches if they are successful.
The safety net of playing for a second place qualification is now no longer an option. It really is do or die in the bid to battle through the rounds.
There will be three rounds played today, the last 96, the last 64 and the last 32 rounds will finish today, with two sessions tomorrow including the Last 16 Round at 2pm and the Quarter Finals at 7pm and on Saturday the Semi-Finals and the European Championship Final 2024.
There is no doubt the warm up sessions this morning were a little more serious than previous days and over the next three days we are going to see some dramatic and exciting Snooker.
