Muir & Collumb finalists: Scotland makes it 3 out of 4!
Michael Collumb claimed victory by 4 Frames to 1 facing Ireland’s Ross Bulman at semifinal 2 of the Men’s event this Saturday afternoon and assured Scotland a 3rd european title out of 4 competitions in 2023 EBSA European Snooker Championships at St. Paul’s Bay Dolmen Hotel.
Aged 34, the Motherwell’s ace will face is fellow countryman and Edimburgh nativo Ross Muir, aged 27, at the best of 9 Frames Grand Final match of the 2023 Men’s competition starting 6 p.m. at Malta’s venue. In semifinal 1, played this March 18th by morning, Ross Muir prevailed facing the 1997 European Snooker Champion, Finland’s Robin Hull, by 4 Frames to 1.
The ‘All Scotland’ Grand Final will have Belgium Bart Tournel as referee, assisted by Malta’s Joe Debono as marker. The winner succeeds Estonian Andres Petrov as European Snooker Champion.
After Jack Borwick’s win in the U16 competition and Liam Graham’s triumph at the U21 tournament, Scotland granted a 3rd win out of 4 events – Hungarian Bulcsú Révész glory at the U18 competition was the exception here in Malta.
