England doubles chances in U21 semis
Belgium’s Ben Mertens, Austria’s Florian Nüssle and England’s Aidan Murphy and Liam Pullen qualified this Saturday afternoon for the Best of 7 Frames Sunday’s semifinal matches of the U21 event of the 2022 EBSA European Snooker Championships at Shengjin’s Delfin Resort.
In the U21 quarterfinals played this Saturday, Mertens prevailed facing Ukraine’s in the decider while England’s Liam Pullen and fellow countryman Aidan Murphy claimed victories by 4 Frames to 2 facing Frenchman Nicolas Mortreux and Albania’s Kledio Kaçi.
The same 4-2 score prevailed in the quarterfinal match opposing Austrian’s Florian Nüssle to Belgium’s Julien Leclercq. U21 event semifinals are scheduled to be played best of 7 Frames Sunday June 12th at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. sessions. The final will be played the same afternoon best of 9 Frames starting 4 p.m.
Ben Mertens faces Liam Pullen and Aidan Murphy battles with Florian Nüssle for the two places in the final.
