Champions are out but Drago still rules

The european Snooker Men’s defending Champions, maltese Alex Borg and Duncan Bezzina (Team Malta 1), got eliminated this Tuesday Last 16 morning session: 2-4 in a great match against Team Wales 1 (Gareth Allen/Duane Jones), at St. Paul’s Bay, in the big clash of the day so far, and big surprise.
The quarterfinals will still be played this Tuesday (18 hours, local time, 17 hours in the UK), best of seven frames, by the following order: singles, singles, scotch doubles, singles, singles, scotch doubles, with the team nominating who will play the 7th frame, if necessary.
The Last 16 Men’s Teams match Poland 2 (Krzysztof Wróbel/Marcin Nitschke)-Israel 1 (Shachar Ruberg/Roey Fernandez) started later, and is still in progress: the winner will face Scotland 2 (Craig MacGillivray/Paul McPhillips) in quarterfinals.
