It is very early in the tournament but there have been some impressive result even at this early stage.

Malta’s Father and Son duo Alex and Isaac Borg played as the first ever Father and Son European Championship Team and got off to a great start with a 3-0 win over Germany. Joseph Casha and Philip Ciantar from the Malta 3 Team were equally impressive with a 3-0 win over Poland 3 and earlier today the Maltese pairing defeated France 2.

There were two wins for France 1 where Nicolas Mortreaux and Jean-Marc Beauchamp dropped only one frame with wins over Denmark and the Isle of Man. Poland have no less than five teams competing and Poland 5 with Marcin Nitschke and Jacob Chrony getting off to a winning start with with a win over Portugal 2.

Finally for now the Republic of Ireland Team 2 had a very impressive opening win from Mark Walsh and Sean King winning 3-0 over Belgium 2.
